Objectives of this project:


• To develop reading skills, techniques that can be used in every branch of life
• To meet reading habits and enhance to meet old books, books in history, predict books in the future, enrich school curriculum
• To get to know different libraries and the way of use.
• To learn to work in cooperative groups.
• To improve students’ and teachers’ communicative competence in English language. 
• To promote reading in local societies and engage teens' families.

The first part of the project “The history of books” (Turkey) :  based on the beginning of making books, from clay tablets and old folk tales. 
The second part “Books throughout the history” (Poland) : We will be involved into reading from different periods and the changing image of books.
The third part “Modern reading" (Romania): we will analise the students reading habits and preferences by questionnaires, involving into reading groups and exchange information about favourities. 
The fourth part "The Digital Library" (Spain): we will focus on beginings and customs in libraries and create students' virtual libraries.
The fifth part “Future books” (Lithuania) : devoted to the future of books, eco-books, predicting the shape of reading and making the future book. 
The sixth part "Smart reading"  (Poland) - an international conference for students and teachers focused on reading strategies that can be implemented into our own teaching process after the project plus the section about esafety and futurebooks as a challenge for readers.

1.The history of books run by Turkish school
The first stage is a starting point in the hisory of books - the beginning and role in old cultures. Students will follow the clay tablets and papyrus to a printing press invention. They will analyse young generations attitude and awareness of books.

2. Books throughout the history run by Polish school
This stage shows the relation of literature to normal life and focus on middle-aged books, 17th to 19th cent books. The students will go back to middle-aged first stories and follow book images.  They will make a film about the most amazing old books. They will  see the correspondences between books/stories and lifestyle. They will try to make a legend using ICT tools.

3. Modern reading run by Romanian school
The students will focus on advancement in current media in different countries how they influence tennagers reading habits; and learn new technological skills by elearning. All the partners will analise the questionnaires, share reading likes and dislikes/ recommendation and share information on the blog.

4. The Digital Library run by Spanish school
The students will talk about their likes and dislikes being also more confident readers. They will meet the origins of libraries, and will make their own libraries, virtual bookshelves in order to exchange books. They make videos based on their local libraries.

5. Future books run by Lithuanian school
The final stage of the project each partner will prepare interviews about books future (with people of different generations), simple movie about books and reading in the future (moviemaker, powtoon, scratch and etc.) and will create a Future book (paper version), There will be also focus on raising students' awareness of ecology and eco-friendly solutions in the book production process.

6. International conference for students and teachers 'Smart reading' in Poland
The conference will be a sharing knowledge activity that will sum up all the actions plus will broaden our horizons in reading techniques. It is considered to ba a workshop that can be used in many points of everyday teaching practice focusing on reading aims and priorities and a pannel discussion.
